HepcoMotion has appointed a new Group Managing Director, Peter Fanshawe, who started working with the company 24 years ago as an undergraduate, joining the company permanently when he graduated from Brunel University's Special Engineering Programme with BSc and MEng degrees. His early career with HepcoMotion was focused on production and process engineering, particularly in the field of heat treatment, but later he became involved with product design and development.
In 1995 Fanshawe became Technical Director and was promoted to the executive board, with overall responsibility for product design. And now he is investing all this experience in the ultimate management role with the company.
For many years Fanshawe and his technical team have been the driving force not only behind the high-quality and innovative products that carry the HepcoMotion brand but also growing breadth of the range. He says: "Across the UK, Europe, Korea and our distributor markets throughout the world we are able to engineer the optimum solution for the linear or rotary motion applications based on best product for the job. This is one of the reasons why HepcoMotion stands out from the crowd.
"HepcoMotion is a good company that is performing well with sales at record levels. I will be working to ensure it remains pre-eminent in terms of its knowledge, helpfulness, reliability and product excellence. By focusing on these factors we will continue to prosper and grow. We are increasing our field and internal sales teams, adding new product variants, investing in our production capacity and are well advanced in the implementation of a 'World Class Manufacturing' programme."
There is no doubt that Fanshawe is taking command of a company in excellent shape and HepcoMotion acknowledges the role that outgoing Group Managing Director, Ray Hall, has played in this regard. He has retired following 13 years at the helm but continues to serve the company in a consultative capacity.
Group Chair Gervase Forster comments: "With a wealth of experience under his belt, Ray's continuing involvement will be a huge asset to us. HepcoMotion is very grateful for his excellent stewardship and for his determination that the company should go forward with younger people in control."
