National Instruments UK & Ireland will host the Automated Test Summit 2013 against a backdrop of over 100 aircraft at the Royal Air Force Museum, Hendon, London on Thursday 27th June. This free, one-day conference and exhibition will give delegates the opportunity to learn about the top trends currently influencing automated test, as well as featuring a dedicated track focused on the aerospace and defence industries. During the day, delegates will be able to attend technical training and product demonstrations, in addition to meeting industry experts, product developers and system integrators.
The keynote address will be given by Vulcan to the Sky Trust Chief Executive, Dr Robert Pleming, who will tell the story of the successful attempt to return the Vulcan XH558 to flight and the huge engineering challenges they faced in taking on such an audacious project.
Conference highlights feature presentations covering topics on both system hardware and software, including an ‘Expert’s Guide to Building an Automated Test System’, plus sessions on test software frameworks and RF & Wireless measurements. The aerospace and defence track will include presentations on designing and testing RADAR and navigation systems, validating embedded software and ensuring maximum reliability and uptime of deployable test systems.
During the summit, delegates will also have the opportunity to get 10 hours of hands-on training, giving delegates the chance to build an automated test system with PXI and NI Teststand. Furthermore, companies such as PCB Piezotronics and Austin Consultants amongst many more will exhibit, offering demonstrations, technical advice and networking opportunities.
The certification track allows delegates who are proficient in LabVIEW to take the Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer exam free of charge. For those preparing to take the next step in certification, the Certified LabVIEW Developer Exam Preparation Class advises delegates on how to avoid common pitfalls and misconceptions in the exam. Additionally, NI is offering NITestStand developers the chance to take the Certified TestStand Developer exam during the event, also free of charge.
