The PPMA is promoting its Robotic Safety for Integrators seminars, the next of which takes place on 29 March 2018 at the Museum of Science & Industry, Manchester. Aimed at companies designing, manufacturing, purchasing and using machinery and production systems incorporating robots, the seminar addresses many of the issues relating to CE marking of complex assemblies. In particular, the Robotic Safety for Integrators seminar covers these two important standards:
- BS EN ISO 10218-1:2011 Robots and robotic devices. Safety requirements for industrial robots. Part 1: Robots
- BS EN ISO 10218-2:2011 Robots and robotic devices. Safety requirements for industrial robots. Part 2: Robot systems and integration
Other topics to be covered include CE marking, hazard identification, risk assessment and risk reduction, safety and safeguarding, safety requirements, and safety-related control systems.
The price for one delegate is £395, with places for subsequent delegates costing £350. Members of PPMA pay a reduced price of £195 per delegate.
This Robotic Safety for Integrators seminar complements the other seminars offered by the PPMA, including Machinery Directive and CE Marking, CE Audit, PUWER, Machinery Risk Assessment, Machine Guarding, and Functional Safety. These take place at venues around the UK and Ireland or can be tailored and presented at a company's premises. In addition, the PPMA runs various courses relating to managing people.
