WEG reduces UK delivery times by up to ten weeks

WEG has moved to larger premises in Redditch, Worcestershire, as it continues to grow in the UK. As a result, the company will be able to provide customers with lead times for motors, drive and control equipment that are up to ten weeks shorter, as well as faster order processing.

WEG's new 11,895m2 site in Lakeside, Redditch, includes a 10,595m2 warehouse, which is much larger than its previous one. As such, WEG can now hold more stock, enabling it to supply OEMs and engineers more quickly to meet their demands.

Richard Crook, operations manager at WEG, says: "Like many of our customers, we give high priority to efficiency. With our new facility we can provide better and faster service from order receipt to delivery and assist our customers more quickly with custom modifications or technical problems."

For example, WEG can now stock products that would previously have been shipped from Brazil, reducing delivery time by as much as eight to ten weeks. This means it can better serve its customers in the UK while continuing to providing excellent levels of customer service.

Richard continues: "This investment also shows our commitment to growth in the UK and Redditch. We value the skilled work force we have here in Worcestershire, so staying in the area was a natural decision for us. WEG UK first opened an office in Redditch in 1997 and now employs 54 people."
