National Instruments is announcing that it is the first vendor to execute a Manufacturing Test License (MTL) agreement with Broadcom Corporation. The MTL agreement authorises NI to provide manufacturing test systems and modifiable application source code to Broadcom wireless LAN and Bluetooth device customers.
The Broadcom Manufacturing Test License agreement is a new licence and validation programme, providing test equipment vendors, such as NI, with access to Broadcom WLAN and Bluetooth software tools and Broadcom technical support resources. The programme is designed to provide Broadcom OEM customers with validated test systems that reduce time-to-market and improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

Based on the PXI modular instrumentation platform and the NI PXIe-5644R vector signal transceiver, NI’s MTL system is optimised for lower cost factory test and direct integration into Broadcom software tools. NI will provide worldwide support to Broadcom customers through its global operations and Broadcom-approved business partners.
