Are you ready for this month's changes to CE marking? Although the Machinery Directive is not involved, changes to other directives - including the Simple Pressure Vessels Directive, Low Voltage Directive and EMC Directive - mean that machine builders and system integrators should check whether they need to amend any documentation. Find out more in this article about the changes to CE marking from TRaC, an Element Materials Technology Company.

In the March newsletter I mentioned a forthcoming new edition of the official guidance on the application of the Machinery Directive. Mario Gabrielli Cossellu of the European Commission has told me that the Machinery Working Group is still receiving comments on the draft but is planning to publish the new guidance in the summer.
