|The UK government has
published its Industrial Strategy, outlining how it will
create an economy that boosts productivity and earning
power. Of particular note, the government wants the
country to take a leading role in the Fourth Industrial
Revolution (also referred to as 4IR or Industry 4.0).
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may be aware
of the potential benefits of embarking on the 'Industry
4.0 journey' but be unsure of how to get started. We
have already published numerous technical articles and
application stories about implementing Industry 4.0,
including articles about what machine builders and
system integrators can do to help their customers adopt
Aside from reading these articles on
MachineBuilding.net, if you want to find out more about
Industry 4.0 you should scroll down this month's
newsletter to see the item about the Industry 4.0 Summit
and co-located Factories of the Future Expo; these take
place on 28 February and 1 March and could be your ideal
