BSI has published BS 8611 (Robots and robotic devices. Guide to the ethical design and application of robots and robotic systems). This is applicable to all types of robot, not just personal care and collaborative robots, so designers of industrial robots, as well as systems integrators and machine builders incorporating robots, should be taking account of the standard's guidance and recommendations.
