This month's newsletter has the usual broad spectrum of new products, technical articles, and events and courses. But before you go any further, there is a conference that will be of interest to many machine builders. Organised jointly by the HSE and the Institute of Acoustics (IOA), the Low Noise Design Conference takes place later this month in London. Presenters will be sharing their knowledge and experience of recent developments in 'quiet by design' for workplace machinery.

For those of you who like to plan ahead, in April next year The Health and Safety Event 2020 will have a new Machinery Safety Zone. Pilz has already confirmed it will be participating, and the organiser, Western Business Exhibitions, intends that the Machinery Safety Zone will showcase training, sensors, machine guarding, risk assessments and robot safety - including cobots.
