Leuze Mayser is introducing Solid 4E light curtains with 14mm safety protection resolution, thereby extending the application of these popular and sturdy products to include hand and finger protection.
Standard features from the other Solid 4E safety light curtains have been incorporated in this latest Type 4 development, including two adjustable different light beam codings to prevent optical cross-talk between neighbouring devices, and maintenance-free operation thanks to the fail-safe OSSD transistor output. Various LEDs and a digital display indicate the OSSD status, report weak reception signal, aid adjustments, and enable diagnostics to be performed.
In addition to the integrated standard functions, restart interlock and relay monitoring, the intelligent interface devices from the Leuze Mayer MSI series bring increased flexible, such as muting, single/double break, as well as a facility for connecting safety switches.
Strength in design is a core advantage of this Solid 4E - its strong, torsionally stiff housing gives added protection to the device while there is also high immunity from EMC disturbance - thereby assuring dependable operation. These standard features make the Solid 4E safety light curtain excellent for use where safety is paramount in tough industrial working environments.
The Solid 4E safety light curtain range is now available in five standard resolutions - 14, 20, 30, 40 and 90mm - making Solid 4E suitable for diverse applications. These can include finger and hand protection at presses and stamping machines for the metal, leather and plastic industries, or at operator stations in automated manufacturing cells.
