Available from Techdrives, a division of Lenze Ltd, the Patlite LU series of signal towers now has new options for reduced size, strobe flashing and a voice module. The LU series is available with body diameters of 50 and 70mm. Up to five colour modules with LEDs and a special prism design for maximum brightness can be fitted. Using LEDs means a long maintenance-free life and low current consumption, typically 50mA per colour.
A number of new innovations extend the LU range. A compact body available on the 70mm towers reduces the height by almost 100mm. Three body colours are now available: white, silver and black. For extra attention-grabbing visibility, a double-flash strobe option is available; alternatively, an MP3-supported voice-and-sound module can deliver a message of up to 32 seconds from four selections. Another option is a simple audible alarm at up to 90dB that has two selectable tones.
Mounting can be by base, wall or pole. A new option is a magnetic base that avoids the need to cut into the machine surface and can be repositioned easily.
In addition, the LU range has excellent modularity. Light modules in five possible colours can be assembled by hand (no special tools needed) in any sequence. Indeed, the colour sequence can be changed after assembly without needing to rewire. Only nine basic components cover the options for each size, improving availability and reducing costs.
LU signal towers are protected to IP65 and approved to CE, cUL and RoHS. Follow the link for more information about Patlite signal towers and beacons.
