TDK-Lambda is introducing the NVM175 range of medically-approved AC-DC power supplies that are equally suitable for automation equipment. Combining 4.5kV AC reinforced input-to-output isolation with dual fusing and an output-to-ground isolation of 1500V AC, the NVM175 supplies meet UL/EN/IEC 60601-1 and are appropriate for use in BF type medical applications.
Offered in a 5 x 3inch footprint with less than 1U height, the NVM175 supplies have a universal AC input and are rated at 180W at 50degC with customer air. Leakage current is less than 200uA at 264V AC, 63Hz, which surpasses worldwide medical equipment requirements. It is equally suitable for many other applications including automation equipment, ATE, instrumentation, broadcast, routers, servers and security networks.
NVM175 supplies are available with either 12 or 24V output voltage (with 12V/0.2A standby). As well as the impressive technical performance, the NVM175 units meet TDK-Lambda's design brief for environmentally responsible products by achieving up to 90 per cent efficiency, less than 1W standby power and RoHS and REACH compliance. Other standard features include a 'power good' signal, remote on/off, remote sense and protection from over-current, over-voltage and over-temperature conditions.
Products in the TDK-Lambda NVM175 range meet Class B conducted and radiated EMC EN 55011 and EN 55022 standards. All models have TDK-Lambda's three-year warranty, as well as EN/IEC/UL/CSA 60601-1, EN/IEC/UL/CSA60950-1 and CE approvals.
