Ultimaker 3D Printers from ES Technology

Following on from the success of the award-winning Ultimaker ², which was awarded "best in shootout 2015"³ from Make Magazine and best consumer product at the 3D Printshow global awards 2014, the Ultimaker range of award-winning 3D printers is to be extended with two new models which were launched at the Ultimaker stand in the CES2015 show, Las Vegas, USA. Available for delivery in April 2015, the new models complement the existing Ultimaker ², making a full product family.

Siert Wijnia, CEO of Ultimaker, says: "After receiving recognition and awards from the leaders in the industry, we were inspired to make these new versions of the ground breaking Ultimaker ², supporting our vision to aim for the ultimate 3D printing experience. The Ultimaker ² Go is a compact printer that is easy to use as a starting printer while the Ultimaker ² Extended has added a 10cm larger build volume for users who want to create larger and more complex projects."

With the same award-winning accuracy and reliability that customers are getting used to, the Ultimaker ² Extended allows parts with are 10cm or 4 inches taller to be built in one piece, making the new model more attractive for commercial and industrial customers. Layer resolution as fine as 20microns and speeds up to 300mm/sec are available in common with the other products from Ultimaker. X and Y build dimensions remain at 230 × 225mm with the Z height increased from 205mm to 305mm.

Adding a new baby to the family, the Ultimaker ² Go is a mighty mini which combines a smaller box and smaller build volume with a lower cost "starting system" to suit those looking for something smaller and cheaper than the Ultimaker2. The system build dimensions are 120 × 120mm in X and Y with the maximum Z height of 115mm. The system does not offer a heated bed, so the start-up is quicker and the system is very portable.

The Ultimaker range of 3D printers is suitable for designers, enthusiasts, hobbyists and engineers who can use the printer to build tooling or customised components for a range of industrial applications.

ES Technology has online purchasing with secure credit card checkout and the Ultimaker2 is available to ship from stock. The new members of the Ultimaker family will be added as they become available. The team at ES offers demonstration, technical support and advice.
