On 19 May 2011 approximately 200 guests joined Powervar employees in Waukegan to celebrate 25 years of being a leader in providing power quality systems to the healthcare, analytical laboratory, retail POS, digital graphics, semiconductor manufacturing, banking and gaming industries.
Founded in 1986, Powervar immediately launched the innovative ABCs of Power Conditioning. This is a building block method of understanding power protection elements such as surge diverters, isolation transformers, noise filters, voltage regulators, uninterruptible power, frequency regulators and ground loop control. Understanding how each of these items functions and which ones are needed for specific applications is critical to properly protecting a sophisticated system in a mission-critical application. Because of the effectiveness of the philosophy, Powervar says its name has become synonymous with the ABCs of Power Conditioning and highly effective power protection equipment.
