The InVision XT 3-D Modeler quickly and efficiently builds three-dimensional plastic models and prototypes directly in the office environment. It provides users with high-definition, functional and durable models that are able to withstand rigorous handling and testing. This new, versatile modeller produces models in a variety of materials, colours (white, blue or dark grey), suitable for a wide range of applications. Melt-away supports enable hands-free post processing and make operation very user-friendly.

Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' president and chief executive officer, says: "We are pleased to announce yet another significant addition to our growing family of 3-D modelling and rapid prototyping solutions. What users need today is the ability to increase their productivity and improve quality, consistency and delivery. Our new and improved high-output, office-friendly InVision XT 3-D Modeler harnesses our extensive technology and customer experience to enable users to transform even extreme geometries into functional, durable, ready-to-use plastic models and prototypes."

With the launch of this new InVision XT 3-D Modeler targeted to address a wide variety of model and prototype applications, 3D Systems is responding to the growing demand for rapid and compact machines.

Reichental adds: "The InVision XT 3-D Modeler is a significant step in broadening our portfolio to address emerging customer needs and provide viable performance and economical alternatives for customers who are seeking the best quality, cost and performance package. Our ability to bring it to market concurrently with the arrival of the revolutionary V-Flash Desktop Modeler and the recently announced V-Flash HA 230 hearing aid manufacturing system is a testimony to the strength and depth of our comprehensive technology portfolio and the accelerated transformation of our business."
