3D Systems Corporation is to host an inaugural Users' World Conference at its new campus in Rock Hill, USA, from 24-27 September 2007. The company intends to extend an invitation to all of its global customers as well as to complementary solution providers, industry experts and members from academia to attend and participate in a one-of-a-kind comprehensive technology and applications exchange and training event.
Working in partnership with an independent advisory board of respected industry members and solution partners, the company plans to deliver a 'transforming experience' that will feature the latest technology and applications, hands-on and comprehensive training, lectures and presentations by industry experts on emerging trends in rapid prototyping, rapid manufacturing and 3D printing, and the opportunity to meet and interact with the entire 3D Systems' team.
The company hopes this annual event will give attendees valuable knowledge about new rapid manufacturing techniques and the latest investment and micro-casting successes, as well as teach them how to become service-savvy and self-sufficient and how to improve productivity, up-time and capacity utilisation on current and new platforms. Attendees will have a variety of opportunities to network, renew and strengthen partnerships and improve communication with others in the 3D printing, prototyping and manufacturing industry.
The conference will be held at 3D Systems' new global headquarters campus that includes its research and development facility, Rapid Manufacturing Center and the 3D Systems University facility, all located in Waterford Business Park in Rock Hill.
Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' president and chief executive officer, states: "We are delighted to open our doors and share our incredible campus with our global customers and partners. This is exactly the kind of interactive learning and training event we had in mind when we designed our unique campus with all of its training and demonstration capabilities. We are providing an opportunity to come together in a creative, engaging and stimulating environment to learn, share and discuss the latest trends and emerging solutions within our industry. As a leader in three-dimensional printing, prototyping and manufacturing through technology, we cherish the opportunity to share our extensive knowledge with our customers and partners and also to continue to learn from our lead users and expert adopters. We fully expect that all of our guests will leave the 3D Systems' Users' World Conference with new knowledge, tools and skills as well as a renewed passion and determination to transform the way our society designs, develops, manufactures and sells new products."
To help ensure success, diversity of topics and independent customer voice, and partnership in shaping this exciting event, 3D Systems has formed an Advisory Board. This board of renowned industry experts and 3D Systems' team members is shaping the world conference content, recruiting trainers and recommending speakers and discussion panels. Members are: Rob Connelly of FineLine Prototyping, David Flynn of Express Pattern, Dr Volker Griessbach of VGK, David Leigh of Harvest Technologies, Dr Dennis Merrell of York Technical College, Scott Turner of Scicon Technologies, Pat Warner of the Renault F1 Team, Igata-san of INCS Inc and several 3D Systems' teammates.
Reichental adds: "We are enormously proud of the world-class Advisory Board members we were able to attract as partners in creating and shaping this important event. Together, with these respected industry leaders, we will no doubt create a unique, one-of-a-kind learning, sharing, training and networking experience."
There will be no registration or conference fees for approved attendees at the 3D Systems Users' World Conference. 3D Systems will also provide food and beverages and in-town transportation. Attendees are responsible for their lodging and travel expenses. More information on the conference is available at www.3dworldconference.com.
