Rhopoint Components is publishing the latest edition of its FrontRho email newsletter, covering a variety of products and an announcement about its website.
Suitable for low current detection, the new AAV003-10E is a highly linear, very low hysteresis GMR (Giant Magneto Resistance ) current sensor with an on-chip current strap.
A GMR bridge sensor element close to the strap senses the current. The output of the bridge voltage is bipolar and proportional to the current through the strap over a -80 to +80mA input range.
An attractive and environmentally friendly energy storage option, the SEC range of 'supercapacitors' help to bridge the gap between conventional capacitors and batteries. Available in values between 470,000uF and 1,000,000uF these devices can replace secondary batteries in electronic systems.
There is a simple charge/discharge circuit and, being capacitors, they can store or release energy very quickly, which makes them suitable in for use in energy recovery systems.
With pressure ranges from 0-2 bar to 0-400 bar, the ME662 piezo resistive sensor is well suited for accurate printed circuit board mount pressure measuring applications. The combined linearity, hysteresis and repeatability of the device is 0.1 per cent to 0.75 per cent of full scale depending on the pressure range. Long term stability figures of less than 0.3 per cent of full scale per year are equally impressive.
Isoloop isolators offer a good approach for providing a 2500V isolated USB without sacrificing data rate. The isolators used in this example work up to 120Mbps.
Rhopoint Components' website has just had a facelift. The site is now wider, and some font sizes have been increased to make it easier to read. New engineering calculators have been added to the site to help during the development process.
