Siemens Industry Automation Division is supplementing its time relay series with a new 17.5mm relay. Thanks to its compact design, it can be built into industrial control cabinets or in smaller switching boxes. This makes it suitable for use in heaters, ventilators and air-conditioning units, for example. For these HVAC applications, all the devices comply with the EMC standard for industry as well as the EMC standard for residential buildings. Siemens offers five basic relays that cover practically all possible applications - from the monofunction time relay with combined voltages for ON or OFF-delay tripping to the multifunctional relay with a wide voltage range for all timer functions. The time range can be adjusted between 0.05 seconds and 100 hours, enabling the relays to be used flexibly according to actual needs.
