WAGO announces the launch of the Power Supply Base Series (2587 Series), a high-efficiency power supply solution designed to meet the needs of industrial automation applications.
The Base Series delivers a perfect balance of simplicity, efficiency, and reliability, making it an ideal choice for your industrial automation applications.
The Base Series is designed for basic industrial automation needs, including programmable logic controllers (PCI), human machine interfaces (HMI), switches and sensors, industrial communication devices, and remote monitoring systems.
WAGO's spring pressure connection technology provides quick, secure, and maintenance-free wiring, reducing installation time and costs. Additionally, a built-in DC OK indicator allows for easy monitoring of output voltage, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operation.
Engineered with up to 94% efficiency, the Base Series significantly reduces energy loss and heat generation. This lowers operational costs and minimises the need for external cooling, all while helping to lower your organisation's carbon footprint.
What's more, the system has been built with extreme environments in mind. It operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -30degC to +70degC, with the ability to start at temperatures as low as minus-40degC. Robust metal housing and an MTBF in excess of 1 million hours ensure long-term reliability and minimal maintenance requirements.
The WAGO Power Supply Base Series is available in three output current models, 5A/120W, 10A/240W, and 20A/ 480W, and its space-saving design helps optimise control cabinet layouts and simplify installation.
Andy Turtle, Product Manager - Interface at WAGO UK, said: "The WAGO Power Supply Base has everything you need for a reliable, cost-efficient power supply. Our proven push-in cage clamp allows direct front entry wiring, and at just 56mm wide with 20 amperes, it saves space while delivering full power.
"It remains reliable even at extreme temperatures, from -30degC to 70degC-plus, with up to 94% efficiency, for less energy loss and greater performance. And all of this with an MTBF of one million hours," Turtle continued.
