Aluminium parts CNC machined in one business day
First Cut Prototype has been very successfully offering a service to supply CNC machined plastic components in as little as one business day, and now the company is offering the same service for aluminium parts.
A major factor behind First Cut Prototype's success is the proprietary software that it uses to convert customers' 3D models into CNC toolpaths. Small quantities (typically batches of one to ten) can therefore be shipped very fast - often within three business days and it can be as little as one business day.
Richard Lintern of Origin Product Design comments: "Origin Product Design has implemented First Cut and Protomold on an almost weekly basis since each have been operational. Our components are typically challenging and intricate, Protolabs have managed this well. Recent CNC work with aluminium has been very useful. Specifically when components have been designed correctly the results have been excellent - lovely stuff."
