Avalue unveils new semi-rugged tablet - RiTab-10T1

Avalue Technology Inc. is introducing its self-designed 10.1" semi-rugged tablet, RiTab-10T1. RiTab-10T1 is positioned as a semi-industrial product of high quality and affordable price. Certified with IP-54 and MIL-STD-810G, RiTab-10T1 is resistive to a 4-foot drop on concrete floor, making this semi-rugged tablet suitable for applications such as warehousing and inventory management. Besides its rugged design, RiTab-10T1 is equipped with various external I/O that allows users to collect different forms of data. Weighed around 1KG, and with its long-lived battery, RiTab-10T1 also makes a good choice for retail and hospitality applications.

Embedded with Intel Atom Z3735F, RiTab-10T1 supports multiple operating systems, including Windows and Android. This allows users to easily integrate RiTab-10T1 into their existing systems, saving the cost and time of migrating into another system as well as enabling customers to keep their user behaviour.

RiTab-10T1 features various integrated options. It comes standard with USB 2.0 Type A, micro SD slot, micro HDMI output, micro SIM card slot, WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0 dual mode, NFC and 5MP rear camera. These standard features give users diverse ways to connect to the world, either through delivering data to others or receiving information. Optional data collecting methods include an integrated barcode scanner that supports 1D, PDF417 and 2D bar codes, MSR and SCR with encryption algorithms to ensure the process of data collecting is secured.

Certified with MIL-STD-810G and IP-54 (without MSR and SCR), RiTab-10T1 is resistive to a 4-foot drop on concrete floor. Despite the ruggedness, RiTab-10T1 weighs approximately 1kg. In addition, the battery of RiTab-10T1 is optimised to up to 8 working hours. Once the battery is out, users can hot-swap the battery without interrupting the workflow. For the exhausted batteries, Avalue also offers a charging station that can charge up to four batteries at the same time, making battery charging more efficient.

User-centred accessories

Not only is the RiTab-10T1 itself designed to ensure users' best interests, the accessories are also designed to cater to users' needs. RiTab-10T1"s desktop cradle, which has DC input port, 1×RJ45 and 4×USB 2.0, transforms RiTab-10T1 into a desktop computer to meet different applications. Not only does the cradle act as a stand for RiTab-10T1, it can also charge the semi-rugged tablet via DC input port, guarantees users to have a charged hand-held device while needed. When obliged to be held by hand, users also have options between 2-way hand strap and mushroom handle according to their preference.
