AVX Corporation recognised for customer service
AVX Corporation has been named the 2008 Resistor/Capacitor Commodity Supplier of the Year by Rockwell Collins. The Supplier of the Year award is an acknowledgement of the significant contributions made during the year by suppliers, and is based upon quality, delivery, total cost of ownership, lead time and customer service. The award was presented to AVX by Jeff Moore, Senior Vice President of Operations at Rockwell Collins, during the company's Annual Supplier Conference.
Mark Mirelez, Senior Director at Rockwell Collins, said: "AVX has experienced tremendous growth this past year, including a merger with American Technical Ceramics, while maintaining high levels of product quality, customer service and delivery performance across all product lines. We are very pleased to announce that AVX is our 2008 Resistor/Capacitor Commodity Supplier of the Year."
AVX's product innovations are said to have significantly impacted the capacitor market in recent years. The BestCap electronic double-layered capacitor (EDLC), OxiCap niobium oxide capacitors, and the land grid array (LGA) ceramic capacitor are examples of AVX's dedication to advancing product and manufacturing technologies.
