B&R presents advanced vibration compensation at drupa

B&R will be unveiling its new High Precision Motion Control technology for industrial printing presses at this year's drupa. By boosting positioning precision by up to 80 per cent, it promises a significant improvement in print quality. Another highlight at Booth E37 in Hall 13 will be B&R's programmable safety technology - which makes implementing safety systems more cost-effective than ever.

A growing number of today's printing presses feature a streamlined mechanical design that utilises lightweight materials. The resulting increase in vibration and lag error, however, lowers precision and ultimately diminishes print quality. With the advanced compensation offered by B&R's new High Precision Motion Control, even the fastest presses can print with impeccable quality.

B&R's flexible safety technology makes it easy to implement safety systems in accordance with EN 1010 and EN 13849. Response times that are 10 times faster than traditional products allow for tighter safety clearances and smaller machine footprints. In the event of a safety incident, advanced safety functions allow production to continue at a safely reduced speed rather than incur costly downtime.

Other highlights to be found at B&R's booth include a "green printing" area showcasing energy monitoring systems and energy-saving drive technology. B&R will also be demonstrating how its Technology Guarding licence management system opens up new business models in 3D printing - with easy-to-implement tamper resistance and intellectual property protection.
