Brushless diaphragm pump has extended high-performance life

The Aquatec BLDC "brushless dc' diaphragm pump available from Becktech has been designed to combine an very long motor life with compact size and excellent performance as a cost-effective option for a wide range of applications where this combination of features is important.

Utilising the Aquatec 3-chamber pump head and operating at 24V DC, this new unit is offered in fixed speed and variable models. Its high-torque motor gives reliable operation under high loads and also features low RFI emission.

A limiting factor in the life of a normal diaphragm pump is the life of the motor brushes, or contacts, with the pump head usually outlasting it by some margin. The option of replacing a motor adds costly work and down-time to the motor's price tag.

This brushless motor extends the life of the pump to the life of the materials in the pump-head, which is normally many thousands of hours. Typical applications range from pure water systems and cooling computers or medical lasers to cold carbonation, misting and solar thermal recirculation.
