CADline has been awarded the new Software Asset Management (SAM) accreditation from Autodesk.

CADline

The SAM accreditation acknowledges CADline's ability to customers in all areas of software licence management and ensures efficiency is gained when deploying Autodesk software.

CADline's SAM offering can include a total software asset management analysis and development of a SAM policy or assistance with the constituent parts of a firm's existing policy, in particular to:

  • Assist efficient deployment of new and existing software
  • Identify over-used and under-used licences
  • Maximise the value of Autodesk legacy software
  • Create full licence inventories
  • Ensure full licensing compliance

Koal Bhogal, senior CAD technician at Price & Myers, which used CADline's licensing expertise to develop a SAM policy in 2007, says: "From my experience, if companies don't keep up with the latest software versions, when they do need to upgrade, there's a huge learning curve for everyone - the whole organisation suffers and there's a noticeable drop in production.

"CADline helped us to 'modernise' our subscriptions and software licences policy. Now it's fully under control and our CAD technicians have access to the latest versions when they are released - an important element of our pioneering work with Revit Structure."
