Carpanelli at Drives & Controls

New on the stand will be the Carpanelli MSS Stainless Steel Motors for food and process applications where overall cleanliness and wash down protection is required. The MSS Motor is protected against water ingress from wash down to IP66 protection. Available in powers from 0.12kW-0.75kW, 4 Pole, 230/400V, 3 Ph, 50Hz supply, in frame sizes M71 & M90 with either B5 or B14 flange and shaft. Duty S1.

Carpanelli has over 10 years of research and development into the common problems of motors and inverters and has developed compact drives and intelligent motor / inverter combinations. The Microvert and Minivert are examples of standard motor / inverter combinations for powers up to 1.1kW. The inverter is completely contained in the standard terminal box of a motor. Similar products have been developed for compressors, cow brushes and helicopter fans for stables and cattle sheds.

Brake motors are not normally designed to work in applications where the motor is inverter driven, but the Carpanelli MAI AC brake motor has a special electromagnetic spring-applied, failsafe brake whose engagement is directly activated by the inverter through the motor terminals. Carpanelli manufactures in Italy and has a UK sales division. Every element of the motor is either made in-house or sourced within the EU. The design and build quality of its products, coupled with the ability to meet customer demands for reliable delivery times have earned Carpanelli regular custom throughout Europe. Indeed, around 70 per cent of its motors are now exported with a growing number meeting the needs of UK industry.
