When electroplating is carried out manually, it requires a considerable amount of space and human resources. Using a smart profile sensor from Baumer, the Swiss automation company Roth Technik has developed a fully automatic system for plating racks.

Automate UK has announced a pioneering partnership with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Regulatory Innovation Office (RIO) to create new guidance on how collaborative robots can safely work alongside humans.

Power transmission components such as couplings are a vital element of any machine build, transmitting torque and power between rotating shafts. And you'll be able to see a host of shaft couplings and talk to the suppliers at MachineBuilding.South on 8 July at Sandown Park.

Mclennan is celebrating 50 years of supporting the UK automation, manufacturing and science sectors with precision motion control technology, engineering expertise and responsive technical support.

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), has launched a new Robot Experience Centre (REC) designed to help UK manufacturers accelerate the adoption of robotics and automation technologies.

In just three weeks, engineers, machine builders, systems integrators and automation specialists will gather at Sandown Park for the inaugural MachineBuilding.South - the newest edition of the MachineBuilding Event Series.

As a specialist event dedicated exclusively to the UK's machine building community, MachineBuilding.South is the ideal platform to see all the latest innovations and advances in machine building and automation technologies, with pneumatics being a prime example.

UK manufacturers continue to face increasing pressure from rising costs, skills shortages and the need to improve operational efficiency. Many businesses have already introduced automation into their operations, but modern manufacturing is moving beyond standalone automated systems, say the experts at Innomech.

A key strength of MachineBuilding.South is the platform it provides to discover, discuss, evaluate and compare products from a host of different suppliers. Sensors is one of those technologies, so what exciting products can you expect to find?
