NSK launches new app to combat counterfeiting

In co-operation with the WBA (World Bearing Association), NSK has developed a new app to help combat the ongoing issue of fake bearings. In recent years, the company has been working closely with the WBA, JBIA (Japan Bearing Industry Association) and authorities around the world to enforce law and order on counterfeiters, and eliminate bogus bearings from the marketplace.

iLECSYS Group acquires PBK Enclosures

iLECSYS Group has acquired PBK Enclosures. Peter Bowers of PBK has decided to retire from the business, and moving forwards iLECSYS will be taking on their customer base. iLECSYS will look to make the transition as easy as possible for Peter's customers. Peter says: "We thank all our customers for their support over the last 25 years and we feel sure that iLECSYS will continue to provide the same level of service."

DELBA Electrical named first NSK Certified Workshop

The first company in the world to achieve the newly created NSK Certified Workshop status is DELBA Electrical, a rebuilder and repairer of motors and generators based in South Africa. A comprehensive audit and in-depth training programmes formed part of the intensive process, which now means that DELBA Electrical is officially utilising best-in-class standards for the fitting and application of NSK products.

Pickering Electronics' ultra-compact 10W reed relays at ITC 2019

Pickering Electronics will be showing a new 10W member of its successful 4mm2TM product family at International Test Conference being held in Washington D.C. In common with existing reed relays in the family, new Series 122 devices occupy a PCB footprint of only 4mm × 4mm, facilitating what is claimed to be the highest packing density currently available. These low-profile relays are just 12.5mm high, have a rated switching current of 0.5A at 10W and can be operated at 3V or 5V. The new reed relays have an insulation resistance of greater than 1012ohm and are 100 per cent tested for dynamic contact resistance to guarantee performance.

ABB and B&R present first fully integrated robotics at SPS

As part of ABB's Robotics & Discrete Automation business, B&R will be introducing ABB robots as an integral feature of its automation landscape at the SPS trade fair. Machine builders will be able to buy robots and their machine control system from a single source. B&R will also be among the first to launch a comprehensive portfolio for open, real-time capable OPC UA over TSN communication - on display in Hall 7 / Booth 206.

Online tool speeds configuration of igus drylin shafts

Designing the right shaft for an application is not easy without CAD software and in-depth technical knowledge. igus has now developed a new, free-of-charge and freely accessible online tool with the drylin shaft configurator. In just three steps, designers can select the right shaft in the required length from seven materials, machine the main body and the machined ends with standard elements, such as chamfers and grooves, and order the configuration. In addition, STEP files of the configuration and a dimension drawing are available for download, free of charge.

NSK European Distributor Convention takes place in Dubrovnik

In the beautiful and historical town of Dubrovnik, Croatia, NSK hosted its 2019 European Distributor Conference. Over 100 delegates from distribution partners across all EMEA regions attended the 3-day event to share information and network.
