Mouser appointed global distributor by Matrix Industries

Mouser Electronics has announced a global distribution agreement with Matrix Industries, the Silicon Valley materials science and thermal engineering pioneers committed to radically re-inventing the power equation for Internet of Things (IoT) and wearables. Through the agreement, Mouser is now stocking Matrix Mercury energy harvesting DC/DC boost converters and associated kits, suitable for IoT or wearable engineers - from hobbyists to design engineers in large companies.

Renishaw apprentice benefits from international experience

Ryan Harris, an apprentice at Renishaw, participated in a two-week Erasmus programme in Germany, funded by the European Union (EU). The programme gives Welsh college students first-hand experience of engineering in another country and broadens their knowledge of the industry by showing them different approaches.

Pickering Electronics to present technical paper at Relay Forum

Pickering Electronics is to present a paper entitled "˜Technical Considerations when Designing with Reed Relays' at the second User Forum for Relay Technology, which takes place at the Vogel Convention Centre, Würzburg, Germany from 17-18 October 2019. The presentation will take design engineers "˜beyond the datasheet' and describe in detail some of the key design and manufacturing aspects that determine and differentiate the operational performance of reed relays. Pickering's aim is to increase designers' understanding of functional details of reed relays beyond the bare facts presented on datasheets, enabling better end product design.

Camozzi expands technical team with award-winning engineer

An award-winning former apprentice has joined the technical team at Camozzi Automation's Nuneaton headquarters. Bradley Nightingale beat several thousand other trainees to be named "˜Outstanding Apprentice 2015' whilst studying Mechanical Engineering at West Notts College and has gone on to gain a merit/distinction for HNC, before embarking on his current Level 5 HND study programme.

EAO bring CAN bus keypads, joysticks to Engineering Design Show

EAO will be using its participation at the Engineering Design Show 2019 to showcase its HMI switches, CAN bus keypads and rotary controllers. Visitors to Stand F20 will also be able to view the latest CAN bus LCD displays, encoders and rotary switches produced by US manufacturer Grayhill and cooling fans, stepper motors and drivers from Sanyo Denki. Product specialists will be on hand throughout the show to help visitors with their HMI queries.

See Aerotech's new Automation1 control platform at SPS Drives

From 26 to 28 November 2019, Aerotech will present itself at the SPS - smart production solutions event in Nuremberg (Hall 1, Stand 122). The manufacturer of high-performance motion control and positioning systems focuses on its Automation1 control platform, which, among other things, demonstrates in a demo system force regulation with the ACT115DL linear high-performance actuator. The motion control platform functions as a complete machine control with all components and thus offers much more than a pure "motion control".
