Lenze is ready for 2020 despite tough market conditions

Following the release of Lenze's 2018/19 Financial Report, Lenze says it is well placed for 2020, despite tough market conditions. According to the figures, Lenze realised a 6.3 per cent increase in revenue during 2018/2019 growing from EUR741M to EUR787.6M and all regions within the Lenze Group (Europe, America, Asia) contributed to this growth.

Rockwell gains ISA/IEC 62443-2-4 certification for cybersecurity

Rockwell Automation continues to add to its list of achievements in industrial cybersecurity to help industrial companies focus more on transforming their business and worry less about potential cybersecurity risks. The company recently received ISA/IEC 62443-2-4 certification, which defines security requirements for service providers.

Safety laser scanner certified to IEC TS 62998 for use outdoors

In a world first, TÜV Rheinland has certified a safety laser scanner for outdoor use as per IEC TS 62998. This globally recognised standard applies to safety-related sensors on machinery designed to protect people. The safety laser scanner "outdoorScan3" from SICK protects people from injury. If the sensor detects the presence of a person in the hazard zone of a machine, it responds by stopping the machine. The safety laser scanner, which is certified for outdoor use, is deployed in stationary applications, automated passenger airbridges and driverless transport vehicles operated on factory premises.

Professor Gareth Hankins, Director - Group Manufacturing Services Division, at Renishaw, has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng). The Academy's Fellowship represents the UK's best engineering researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, business and industry leaders.
