Mouser and Sigfox sign distribution agreement for IoT devices

Mouser Electronics is announcing a global distribution agreement with Sigfox, the Internet of Things (IoT) services provider. Through the agreement, Sigfox Sens'it Discovery and SDR dongle are now available from Mouser.

Visit the elobau stand at SPS IPC Drives 2018

elobau will be exhibiting again at SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg between 27th and 29th November this year. Among the products that will be on display on their stand will be their new range of Ultrasonic sensors. The sensors operate on a contactless principle, and provide accurate and reliable detection of all substances, whether liquid, solid, granular or powdery. The sensors are available in a choice of three designs, two materials, two operating modes and six outputs, so there really is a sensor for every application.

RAI Industry Showcase for robotics and artificial intelligence

The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) has announced details of the RAI Industry Showcase, an event focused on industrial robotics and artificial intelligence (RAI). The event takes place in Manchester on 12 March 2019. Up to 500 delegates from industry are expected to attend, as well as technology providers and academia. The event is sponsored by Tharsus and supported by Innovate UK and the National Robotics Network.

Lenze starts development of £44m Mechatronic Competence Campus

Lenze laid the foundation stone for its £44 million Mechatronic Competence Campus (MCC) in Extertal, Germany, this October at a ceremony attended by shareholders and members of the founding family. The Campus will be an ultramodern, Industry 4.0 production, development, service and storage site covering 30,000m2. It is Lenze's largest single investment in its 70-year history and will employ some 800 staff when completed in early 2020.

Pickering invests £5M to expand UK and Czech Republic facilities

Now in its 50th year, The Pickering Group is undergoing a significant expansion at its UK and Czech Republic sites in order to support excellent growth and new product development. The group of companies, which includes Pickering Electronics and Pickering Interfaces, has already completed a refurbishment of its UK interfaces' site, and work at the relay company is due for completion in Q1 2019.
