Renishaw renews sponsorship of Moto2 team TransFIORmers

Renishaw has renewed its sponsorship of French Moto2 team TransFIORmers. In partnership with I3D Concept and Renishaw, the team has used additive manufacturing to improve the performance of its Moto2 bike. Renishaw first sponsored TransFIORmers in 2016 and, for 2018, the team's new rider, Corentin Perolari, will take to the track to race for a podium position, starting at Estoril in Portugal on 25 March.

See new app-based cameras and 3D cameras at UKIVA event

IDS will be showing the new IDS NXT vision app-based cameras and sensors for the first time in the UK at the UKIVA Machine Vision Conference and Exhibition. The app-based system is said to make these devices as versatile as a smartphone. Also on show will be the new Ensenso X Series of 3D stereo cameras that feature high-resolution 5MP sensors and GPU-based image processing. In addition, Peter Dietrich will be giving two presentations at the Conference.

TM Robotics begins Spanish collaboration at BIEMH Machine Tools

TM Robotics will kick start its collaboration with Fegemu Automatismos at BIEMH, the International Machine Tool Exhibition 2018. The exhibition will be held from 28 May until 1 June, at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC), Spain. TM Robotics and Fegemu will be demonstrating Toshiba Machine robotics in Hall 3, stand number F-04.

Modules for smart chemical plants at HANNOVER MESSE 2018

Digitisation is paving the way to higher productivity in the process industry. At the special presentation "Process INDUSTRIE 4.0: The Age of Modular Production" in Hall 11 at HANNOVER MESSE 2018, visitors can learn how to increase productivity by greater use of intelligent automation and instrumentation, as well as by modularisation. Lighting controllers improve machine vision reproducibility

Jools Hudson of Gardasoft will be giving a presentation at the UKIVA Machine Vision Conference and Exhibition, covering practical examples which illustrate the cause of poor results in machine vision due to variations in LED output intensity, and highlighting the benefits of precision lighting control. The talk will also cover the ability of dedicated lighting controllers to reduce hardware costs and enable new application opportunities in both area scan and line scan imaging by creating multiple lighting schemes.
