New HQ unifies FANUC UK and provides platform for growth

FANUC UK has officially opened its state-of-the-art headquarters at Ansty Park, Coventry. The result of an investment of more than £19 million, the new 107,000 sq ft facility highlights the significant growth the company has experienced over recent years, as well as its unified approach for the future. FANUC's new headquarters is four times larger than its previous location and will enable the business to further develop its offering and strengthen its position in the market.

CoolX power supplies approved to new IEC 62368 safety standard

Excelsys Technologies is announcing that its CoolX600 Series of 600W convection-cooled modular power supplies is now approved to IEC 62368-1 - Part 1, the new safety standard for audio, video, information and communication technology equipment. The standard has been created to provide a single approval covering the increasing overlap in design and functionality of professional and domestic equipment.

Live palletising time trials showcase new Pallet+ technology

Reprogramming the way a pallet is stacked using the usual robot teach pendants can be a laborious, time-consuming, trial-and-error process. At PPMA 2017, stand C50, Pacepacker Services unveils its NEW Pallet+ technology, which, thanks to time-saving features including off-line programming, slashes set-up of a new pallet stack layout from around 1 hour to several minutes.

Omron debuts world's fastest and first 4-arm Delta robot

With a pick rate of 300 per minute, Omron will debut the world's fastest and most flexible Delta pick and place robot on stand B34 at PPMA 2017. The only Delta on the market with four arms, the Omron Quattro also offers a larger working envelope and a degree of manipulation not achievable elsewhere. Furthermore, the Quattro is also the only Delta robot which is USDA certified and constructed with materials that are safe for primary food handling, making it more hygienically advanced than existing robots on the market.

RS works with Siemens to ease transition to LOGO! 8

RS Components is working in close collaboration with Siemens to help customers upgrade to the latest generation LOGO! series of intelligent logic modules for industrial automation applications. Following the announcement towards the end of last year that the LOGO! 6 logic controllers are being phased out, Siemens is recommending its LOGO! 8 range as the replacement.
