Helping South West manufacturers prepare for 4IR

A Swindon-based firm is to take part in a national drive to help UK manufacturers prepare for the next, digitally driven, industrial age. The move will see Excalibur, a business communications and IT business based in Century Road, Swindon, joining forces with EEF, the manufacturers' organisation, and Oracle, the American multinational computer technology corporation, to host a special South West Manufacturing Connect event on the 14th March (9.30am to 1pm).

British Safety Industry Federation to champion high standards

The British Safety Industry Federation will take to the stage at the Health & Safety Event 2017 to reveal plans to drive up the standard of safety products and services in the UK. The BSIF, which is partnering with the event for the first time this year, is relaunching its Registered Safety Supplier and Safe Supplier Accreditation initiatives. The twin schemes aim to raise confidence among businesses investing in health and safety by setting a benchmark for the quality of products and the training of those involved in supplying them.

NSK expands production at Kielce plant

NSK is expanding production at its plant in Kielce, Poland, with the first half of the project scheduled for completion by the end of March 2017. Ball bearing manufacture will be joined by further products from the NSK range as a result of the expansion at the company's Kielce production plant.
