Improved hybrid roller bearings for linear motion from igus

Linear systems are extensively used to move doors, monitors or even panels laterally, or side-to-side. If a low driving force is required, especially for manual adjustments, rollers are often used in the bearing element to reduce friction. However, to absorb the lateral forces, the position of these rollers is crucial. As a solution, igus has introduced two new hybrid roller bearings, which offer smooth adjustment with low drive forces and maximum support.

Firewall functionality extended for Phoenix Contact's TC Routers

The new firmware 2.05.1 extends the scope of functions of the TC Router product range from Phoenix Contact. The firmware is available to download in the E-Shop. The cellular routers enable location-independent and permanent access to station networks and systems via the cellular network. They have been specifically optimised for infrastructure applications and, with VPN and firewall, provide protection against unauthorised access.

New TDK-Lambda EZA2500W-32048 bi-directional DC-DC converter

TDK Corporation is introducing the EZA2500W-32048 TDK-Lambda brand bi-directional DC-DC converter model to its EZA series. The extended high voltage range now covers 260 to 400V DC and the lower voltage 36 to 65V DC. The operating temperature has been increased to -10 to +50degC. Double-sided protective board coating and long-life dust-resistant fans have also been included.

TE Connectivity launches entry-level thermal transfer printer

TE Connectivity is launching a new robust entry-level thermal transfer printer. The new T2212 printer is easy to operate and, with its small footprint, it can be installed in either an office or industrial environment. The printer produces a high-quality print on a range of our printable tubing, tags and label products. Continuous Tube product will require an external reel holder. Optimal printing results on TE identification products can be achieved by using the T2212 printer in conjunction with the recommended ribbon and WINTOTAL software.

RS now stocking low-cost, high-performance data-acquisition unit

RS Components is now supplying a new low-cost, next-generation data-acquisition system that offers the ability to quickly and dynamically sample more signals simultaneously. Manufactured by Keysight Technologies, the new DAQ973A data-acquisition system is a three-slot modular mainframe unit that comes with a choice of nine plug-in modules and offers a sampling rate of 800 kSa/s. Keysight has re-used its measurement engine from its high-end test and measurement equipment inside the DAQ973A to deliver proven measurement performance, modular flexibility and universal inputs with built-in signal conditioning. The unit also offers a built-in 6 ½-digit (22-bit) digital multimeter with a DCV accuracy of 0.003 per cent. Similar to the existing DAQ970A system, this new system comes with additional GPIB connectivity.

Wireless sensors for rotating machine condition monitoring

SKF is releasing a compact and cost-effective vibration and temperature sensor for monitoring the condition of rotating parts on heavy industrial machinery. Designed principally for use as part of an SKF Rotating Equipment Performance (REP) system, the sensor - called the SKF Enlight Collect IMx-1 - enables customers to reduce both expensive unplanned downtime and their maintenance costs.

Rugged inclination sensors are immune to vibration

JD-series inclination sensors from ifm electronic feature fast response times and exceptional immunity to vibration and other interference. Their robust construction, ingress protection rating of IP68/IP69K, and an operating temperature range of -45 to +85degC mean that they are well suited for use on vehicles and in similarly demanding applications where they may be subjected to rapid acceleration and deceleration, and to high levels of vibration, shock and impact.
