Adapter supports ix Industrial connector

Harting, Hirose and Fluke networks have announced the availability of an adapter supporting the ix Industrial connector for its DSX CableAnalyzer family of network cabling certification tools. The new adapter allows the DSX Series to connect to cabling systems employing the ix Industrial for the purposes of pre-start up verification and troubleshooting.

Miniature programmable Hall effect angle sensor is smallest yet

With a diminutive 10mm diameter housing, M8 threaded mounting and a 3.175mm diameter flatted shaft, Variohm EuroSensor's new Euro-CMRT series Hall effect angle sensors extend the company's recently launched CMRx range of miniature programmable non-contacting sensors. The durable and robust CMRT series has an IP68 rating and is aimed at long-life, high duty-cycle precision angle measurement tasks where space is at a premium or where its design flexibility allows straightforward mechanical and electrical adaptation to match the application's requirements. A choice of single or dual redundant outputs, with CW or CCW direction, includes ratiometric or PWM signal levels from an industry-standard 5V DC input.

Low-profile rotary positioner can be mounted on six-axis hexapod

PI is expanding its PIMag series of high-dynamics linear and rotary positioning systems with a new high-performance rotation stage. The V-610 is equipped with a high-force three-phase torque motor direct incremental encoder for position feedback and closed-loop operation. Direct drive torque motors do not require gears and mechanical components, eliminating friction in the drive train. Despite its compact size, the ironless motor provides a peak torque of 1.2Nm (10.6 in-lbf). Ironless motors provide smoother running with better velocity control due to the lack of cogging effects caused by permanent magnets.
