Module connects Profibus PA segments directly to Profinet

Phoenix Contact is introducing the Axioline P modular proxy that connects Profibus PA segments directly to a Profinet network. The modular station communicates with a Profinet controller, e.g., a distributed control system (DCS), via a bus coupler. As an option, up to eight Profibus PA segments can be connected to the individual proxy outlets in a compact way. To ensure the individual segments are immune to interference, appropriate shield connection technology is available.

Cover stays and door stops counteract wind and gravity

EMKA is promoting a range of cover stays and door stops to tackle the problem that many doors and access panels have a large surface area - easily caught by wind and able to generate a lot of force. This makes maintenance or installation/updates a difficult problem and potentially a painful one. Signal conditioning modules permit longer cable runs

Red Lion Controls is releasing their new signal conditioner product line-up today. Red Lion's full range of signal conditioners boost signal strength while allowing for longer cable runs through industrial environments. When used as a converter, these devices can translate and incorporate signals into existing PLC architectures, eliminating the need for high-priced PLC input cards just to accommodate a unique signal input from a newly added sensor. Offering a slim 6mm footprint, each of Red Lion's signal converters can accept or convert current, voltage, thermocouples, RTDs, resistance and pulsed input signals.
