Accelerometer combines low noise with wide range from DC to 2kHz

If you need a triaxial accelerometer that combines wide frequency range, from DC to 2kHz, with exceptionally low noise, the choice has been very limited until now. The new Type 8396A triax from Kistler has those characteristics plus excellent linearity and an integral signal amplifier for an analog voltage output all in a miniature titanium housing weighing only 30g. With six ranges from 2 'g' to 200 'g' these new MEMS accelerometers are the answer to most demanding applications from automotive durability testing and road load data and aviation flutter testing to bridge structural monitoring and railway rolling stock testing and monitoring.

EnsensoSDK 2.2 makes 3D image processing even more convenient

Image quality is playing an increasingly important role in 3D vision applications. Manufacturers are taking this into account and offer even better industrial cameras. More powerful sensors, however, usually also mean larger amounts of data, and therefore potentially longer processing times. With the new EnsensoSDK 2.2 release, IDS offers an option that guarantees very fast processes and high clock rates. Stereo matching can now be supported by the Nvidia CUDA graphics card, which speeds up the process by about five times. This feature and other functions of the software development kit can be used with all cameras of the Ensenso series.

Threaded fasteners need ancillaries: now at Challenge Europe

Challenge Europe have found that wherever threaded fasteners are used then various ancillary products are often needed; for example, protection of the nut end of a bolt or screw with a plastic dome cap, or protection of the internal hex socket head from filling with dirt by use of a protective cap insert. Both are available from sales partner Korrex, who also provide insulating bushes which offer protection from electrolytic corrosion between combinations of differing metals.

STMicroelectronics' ACEPACK IGBT modules now at Mouser

Maxim's ultra low-power MAX12900 sensor transmitter at Mouser

Mouser Electronics is now stocking the MAX12900 sensor transmitter analog front end (AFE) from Maxim Integrated. With ultra-low power consumption of just 170 uA (typical) and a 5mm × 5mm footprint, the highly integrated sensor transmitter reduces space by up to 20 per cent and power up to 50 per cent compared with other 4-20mA loop products.

PCB terminal blocks for Profinet

Phoenix Contact is now offering the first PCB terminal block for Profinet-compliant data transmission. Each of the 4-pos. MKDS 1, SPTAF 1, ZFKDS 1,5C and SPT 2,5 PCB terminal blocks have been designed specifically for the connection of twisted pair conductors with cross sections of 0.14mm ² to 4mm ². The conductor connection is made either via spring-cage connection (ZFKDS 1,5C), screw connection (MKDS 1), or Push-in spring connection (SPTAF 1 and SPT 2,5). Printed or colour-coded connection points enable easy assignment of the conductors.
