Central Tapes and Adhesives launches new fire protection solutions

Fire Protect construction and cladding sealant from Central Tapes and Adhesives - CTA - has been formulated to be fire resistant for up to four hours, which means it will protect, rather than support combustion, states the company.

“Its special tumescent properties cause the sealant to swell up and char in the presence of heat, preventing the spread of smoke and fire throughout the joint. This is especially valuable in the construction and cladding industries.

“Our colour match silicone sealant can be matched by RAL numbers for the construction industry,” adds CTA. “RAL has a total of 2,530 colours to enable perfect matching with products. It is a premium quality, silicone sealant which contains a fungicide, with the added bonus of being food safe.”

This product can be used in building, glazing, sanitary and household applications, to include caravans and motor homes.
