Omnetics has completed construction of a new cleanroom within its Minneapolis manufacturing plant. The 340 square-foot cleanroom will be used for cleaning, testing and packaging products, as well as providing a custom assembly capability as required for certain demanding applications.
Andrew Strange, Chief Engineer, says: "Omnetics is entering into an exciting development phase. We have planned carefully for the implementation of this new facility and we believe that it will expand our capabilities and improve the service we are able to deliver to our customers."
Gary Evans, European Sales Manager, adds: "We are introducing many new products this year, and our custom interconnect business - including complete module assembly for medical applications such as Cochlear implants - is also growing strongly. Our cleanroom means that we have all critical production stages in house, so our lead times for standard and custom products - which are already among the shortest in the industry - will be reduced even further."
