Compact brushless geared motors with accurate speed holding
Techdrives is introducing the new Panasonic Minas GV compact brushless geared motors that offer precise speed holding over a wide range of 1:133. These geared motors are available with power ratings of 50, 90 and 130W and gearboxes delivering output speeds from 1.5 to 1000rpm. The Minas GV geared motors come with a compact IP20 drive that is only 35mm wide for panel-mounting. Other features of the drives include RS485 communications and an analogue input, plus eight digital set speeds.
Panasonic's latest Minas technology is claimed to achieve better than 1 per cent speed holding on motor outputs from 30 to 4000rpm. The motors are particularly compact - for example, the 130W model is only 65mm long - and protected to IP65 including the optional cables. They are also energy efficient, using typically 20 per cent less power than equivalent AC asynchronous motors.
