Compact monitoring relays save wiring time
The new EMD-BL compact monitoring relays from Phoenix Contact monitor current, voltage, and phase sequence efficiently and reliably. They are in a space-saving installation housing and equipped with Push-in quick connection technology, facilitating, quick, tool-free wiring. They are particularly suitable for simple monitoring tasks from series production through to building installations.
This product family includes four types of devices: for single-phase networks, there is a voltage monitoring relay with measurement ranges up to 24V AC/DC and 230V AC, in addition to the current monitoring relays for alternative currents up to 10A. In three-phase networks, an additional voltage monitoring relay detects AC voltages up to 400V/230V AC with adjustable measurement ranges. A phase monitoring relay indicates errors in the phase sequence, phase failure, and asymmetries in networks up to 480V AC/277V AC.
All parameters, such as the tripping delay, can be easily adjusted using the rotary switch located on the front. Also, the highly readable LEDs provide for quick on-site analysis. Besides the quick connection technology, there are versions which need no external supply, as it is taken from the measuring circuit, which are particularly quick and easy to install.
