Energy chain expert igus UK is introducing its second-generation condition monitoring system PPDS (push pull force detection) easy 2.0. Designed for long-travel e-chains, typically found in crane applications, PPDS easy 2.0 integrates easily into a modular cable management system.
A cut-down version of the PPDS comprehensive monitoring system, which generates alert messages automatically, the PPDS easy 2.0 monitors the push-pull forces of the moving system electronically, and shuts the system down safely if a pre-defined force is exceeded - such as a mechanical obstruction.
