Conrad adds VOLTCRAFT's Infrared Thermometer IRU 500-12
Conrad Business Supplies has announced the immediate availability of VOLTCRAFT's IRU 500-12 non-contact infrared thermometer. The advanced measuring instrument is well suited for all temperature measurements in the commercial sector as well as in workshops and households. Especially suitable for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) sector, the device simplifies rapid troubleshooting of cooling systems. The IRU 500-12 is suited to any applications where contact-based measurement is not possible including moving machinery, inaccessible areas and in close proximity to hazardous voltages.
The laser-based measurement uses two laser points; the first forms a circle with scales to reduce measurement errors and the second indicates distance from the surface being measured, using a reference table. An integrated UV LED enables easy detection and location of leaks in HVAC systems with fluorescent coolant.
VOLTCRAFT's IRU 500-12 has a wide range of features including switchable units (degC/degF) and user-adjustable alarm limits. It includes 12:1 optics, measures temperatures from -30degC to 500degC and is accurate to 1.5degC with a resolution of 0.1degC. An in-built flashlight with white LEDs and a comfortable joystick control add to the convenient operation, while an integrated lens cap ensures the optics are protected from damage and contamination. The battery-powered portable device weighs just 300g.
