With the new S-DIAS CPU generation, SIGMATEK is setting the stage for future-proof automation. State-of-the-art processor technology, high performance, and a consistent security-by-design approach, were the key priorities in the development of these new CPUs.
The new generation of S-DIAS CPUs was developed to meet increasing performance and cybersecurity requirements. Following the security-by-design approach, the CPUs combine the latest CRA-compliant processor technology with hardware-based security features and SIGMATEK's proven platform concept.
For applications with lower performance requirements, the compact, cost-effective CP 401 with an EDGE3 Technology processor (2x 800 MHz) and 512 MByte RAM (LPDDR4) is a good choice. With Ethernet, CAN, and USB 2.0 Type-C, this DIN-rail CPU features the essential interfaces for efficient machine designs. Built for more demanding applications, the CP 511 features an EDGE3 Technology multi-core processor (2x 1.2 GHz) and 1 GByte RAM (LPDDR4).
With two Ethernet interfaces as well as dedicated VARAN, EtherCAT, and CAN interfaces, it can be flexibly integrated into various automation topologies. Two USB 2.0 Type-C ports and an integrated real-time clock (RTC) are also included as standard.
