DataTrack benefits from user-focused enhancements

A new version of PSL's DataTrack brings 70 user enhancements and more than 50 program modifications, aiding smoother workflow and saving more time for hard-pressed managers. DataTrack is described as the industry-leading production and business software for the subcontract manufacturing sector.

DataTrack benefits from user-focused enhancements

A major benefit of DataTrack is that it has been built as a virtual collaboration between PSL and its customers, many of whom have been using the business package for over 20 years. Almost all of the new features and changes have therefore been made in response to customer requests and in consultation with user groups. PSL counts 16 current members of the BTMA (British Turned Parts Manufacturer's Association) among its clients and the software can be used in any organisation where batch production or assembly is present.

Among the changes are better fiscal control, scalable windows, quicker administration, Windows-based full-text 'help' search and topic search and enhanced reporting. Job costing updates are now automatic, requiring no user input and DataTrack now has integrated quality recording and inspection records, able to link to external documents. This is particularly useful for first article inspection and provides greater traceability, with batch and documents linked to a single record.

With slicker tool purchasing, more availability of information and GRN document imaging, DataTrack continues to make businesses more efficient, releasing managers for more productive activities.
