Different processes rarely run at the same speed

Every production line faces the same challenge: different processes rarely run at the same speed. The experts at AdaptTech look at what this can mean in practice, focusing on a recent project.

Different processes rarely run at the same speed

In this project, carton blank stacks weighing 7-10 kg are produced at a rate of six stacks per minute from a cutting system located behind a fire protection wall. The downstream stack magazines, however, can only process four stacks per minute. Without the right system in place, this difference quickly becomes a bottleneck.

The solution was an automated conveyor and buffer line designed to: transport stacks through a fire protection flap; buffer material to balance cycle times; align stacks precisely before transfer; and maintain safe and ergonomic access for employees.

Using mk's RBM-P 2255 roller conveyor with Poly-V drive, a KGF-P 2040.02 curved belt conveyor, and integrated alignment and pusher units, the system ensures a continuous, reliable material flow while meeting all spatial and safety requirements.

As the only UK and Ireland distributor of the mk conveyors, AdaptTech can help you achieve your required solution.
