Doug Steele is Harwin's Global VP of Catalogue Distribution
Harwin is naming Doug Steele as Global VP of Catalogue Distribution. Steele, who was previously Harwin's North America Distribution Director, will be tasked with developing a consistent worldwide product pricing and product introduction structure.
Currently Harwin has worldwide franchise deals in place with Mouser, Newark and Farnell. CEO Andrew McQuilken explains: "Catalogue distributors are especially important in our network as they enable designers to access new products easily and in low volumes for prototyping and short production runs. In his new role Steele will be responsible for ensuring that engineers who use the world's leading catalogue distributors are aware of our hi-rel connector product range.
He comments: "One of our key catalogue distribution products - targeted at designers looking for a high-performance connector system that performs well under harsh environmental conditions yet is priced in line with commercial products - is our Datamate 2mm pitch cable-to-cable, cable-to-board and board-to-board connector system."
