With new Machinery Regulation will become a mandatory standard in January 2027, which really is just around the corner. There are some significant differences between the European Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC it replaces, so The Engineering Network (TEN) has published a Guide to the new Machinery Regulation. Machine builders can get ahead of the curve by downloading this free guide from the bottom of this page.
Technically, the new Machinery Regulation has already come into force but there is a transition period during which machinery is still being CE marked to the old Directive. However, we are well into that transition period, and machine builders need to be addressing the issue now.
The guide provides a background for the new Machinery Regulation, with a detailed analysis of the various changes, which include tackling cybersecurity of safety-related control systems, artificial intelligence, autonomous and mobile machinery, and collaborative robots.
You can download a free copy of the Guide to the New Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 by completing the form at the bottom of the page.
