DST20 Miniature Strain Sensor from Baumer

For applications where space is limited or machinery has small structural dimensions, Baumer is introducing its new DST20 Miniature Strain Sensor. The company says it is designed to provide static and dynamic measurements of large forces across a range of +/-500 to 1000 µm/m, even where space is at a premium.

These miniature screw-on strain sensors have ultra-compact dimensions of 28mm H × 12mm W × 10mm D, and provide users with accurate measurement of large forces to help assure reliable process monitoring. Despite their compact size, Baumer says that the DST20 is designed to withstand the rigours of industrial applications, featuring a robust stainless steel housing and a protection class rating to IP65. The output signal is 1.0 mV/V and connection is via an M5, 4 pin, male connector. The DST20 miniature strain sensor is one of a wide range of options available from Baumer.
